About One Stop Wanderlust
Showcasing the top of the pops in family travel and outings!
I’m Julie Glück, (some days significantly saner than others) Cape Town mom of 3 wrangling my way through motherhood with my little crazies.
Juggling kids, work, housekeeping, everyone’s calendars… It’s relentless right? “I’ve got way too much time on my hands,” said no parent ever! When you do have precious family downtime together, you want it to count.
I created this little nook on the web to offer parents, like you, a one-stop spot for fuelling wanderlust with family-friendly outing and travel ideas. There’s a special winelands section and you’ll also find a few tips and other bits along the way. “What does she know” you may rightly ask?
A super exciting career background in the travel industry coupled with running my family circus of a singleton plus twins kinda puts me in the sweet spot to be in the know as to what families love, what works and what doesn’t.
Listen, at one point my family outing logistical check-list involved calling ahead to restaurants to see if my twin pram would even fit through their door. It’s fair to say, I get it! Don’t*miss*that*twin*pram.

About Julie
I grew up mostly in Cape Town and am passionately in love with South Africa. An overseas chapter as a young teen living in Switzerland with travels around Europe unleashed a delightfully incurable travel bug.
Travel career…
My career in travel has included golden opportunities living at sea managing onboard sales and marketing for various Princess Cruises ships, a chapter at the London office for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and managing international portfolios for Tsogo Sun in the U.K. as well as South Africa before setting up a small sales & marketing enterprise.
When I’m not out exploring and creating content for the blog, I’m freelancing on various travel and tourism-related projects. See work with me.
Starring family members:
Between life’s adventures, I married my Namibian love, whose country is also the spectacular stuff of dreams. We have a kind and oh-so-sassy tween daughter and two (luckily) uber-cute rambunctious twin boys that keep me livin’ right on the edge of my seat!
Other loves…
Besides family and travel, other things that make my heart sing include my beloved cats, sunshine, coffee and wine. My time spent in Alaska sparked a love of all things reindeer too. Quirky and random, I know!
